An image purportedly showing the iPhone 5‘s bezel has surfaced online, suggesting that the next-gen iDevice will sport a larger display.
The photo (right), which was published by Apple insiders9to5Mac, comes from Chinese part reseller’s website, a page which has since been taken down. As you can see, the bezel looks similar to that found on the iPhone 4 and 4Shandsets, but the cut-out appears to be for a larger display. No exact measurements have yet been revealed, but a Foxconn employee has supposedly let-slip that the phone will tout a 4-inch touchscreen.
The article over at 9to5Mac also claims that, as hinted as by the leaked image, Apple is working on a “completely redesigned” iPhone for “summer 2011″. This design overhaul is said to include a new integrated SIM card and a streamlined casing,
According to previous speculation, the Apple’s next iPhone will also tout a quad-core A6 processor, an improved rear-facing camera with LED flash and 1080p HD video, a bumped-up FaceTime camera and Cupertino’s next iteration of iOS software: iOS 6.
